Social Studies teachers owe it to their students to teach what happened on January 6, 2021–the criminality, Donald Trump’s role, failed legal battle, and desperate attempts to pressure state election officials to lie and steal the election for him. Studnets should understand the death, destruction, and danger at the Capitol that day.
