Notable and Respectable Genres.

In your study of political science, opinion, editorial, and argumentative pieces published by respectable newspapers, media outlets, and even advocacy groups are worthy of reading and consideration. These articles should appear in a section or on a designated page labeled as such. Whenever reading an opinion piece, consider the publication’s mission or tone, and the author’s job or other pursuits to gain perspective on them. These are models that contribute to civic action and have led to formation of American policy.
