You can earn college credit.

Many students take the Advanced Placement version of Government and Politics and will take the AP Exam at the end of the school year. The College Board runs the AP program and administers the exams. Here is the link to the AP U.S. Government and Politics course page, from which you can learn more about the exam as well.  In an interesting comparison, this report below shows the average scores for each subject. After perusing the College Board site on the course, and reading the statistical report below, answer the following questions:

 

1. What are some areas of concentration (or sub-topics) for this course?

2. Describe the national AP Government exam given in May?

3. How does the government course and exam differ from other subject areas?
