Political Parties: Platforms

2016 Democrat and Republican Platforms.

Party platforms are generally written every four years to get the positions of the party on paper. These positions will evolve with time and will reflect the party’s candidate running for president. The Democratic Platform and the Republican Platform are available here.  Open up both platforms and complete the questions below.

1.  Pick one national issue you care about and research what the party platforms say about it.  List two quotes from each platform that reveal the parties’ stance, ideology, or goals.
