White House Correspondents Dinner

A President Impersonated.

Presidents made annual appearances, sustaining light-hearted insults, and deliver a few of their own at the White House Correspondence Dinner. Billed as the DC reporter’s Prom, it occurs in the spring, the attire is formal, though the mood and performances are not. Here below is George W. Bush in on the act with his impersonator.

Questions:

1. How did the impersonator do?

2. What political topic(s) came up?

3. What impact do you feel this event has or can have on the relationship between the White House and the press?
